Originally called the Whiskey Cocktail, the Old Fashioned is one of the oldest around. An amazing old-fashioned recipe is all about simplicity, ingredients, and technique. Making the ideal Old Fashioned

~Ingredients ~

• 1 teaspoon raw or granulated sugar
• 3 dashes bitters
• 2 ounces choice rye whiskey
• Bourbon cherry; for serving

~Preparation ~

Step 1 - Stir sugar, bitters, and 2 tsp. warm water in a double old fashion glass until most of the sugar is dissolved. 

Step 2 - Add 2 ice cubes and pour rye over. Stir 20 seconds to chill the cocktail and dilute whiskey. Garnish with orange wedge and cherry, if using.
